Sami and Alex first met in 2000 on opposite sides of the stylist’s chair. She came in to donate 10” of hair. He was the one holding the scissors. One “Locks of Love” donation later and they were lifelong friends.

 

It all happened at the original Frizzles salon in Springfield, owned by Alex’s father, Nadim. Alex grew up learning the business of running a successful salon. With a love for science, she earned a B.S. in biology and psychology and worked in non-profit healthcare for 10 years. In 2009, Alex and Sami’s dreams came together when they opened Frizzles Alexandria. Though some things have changed – Sami became real family as godfather to Alex’s daughter – their vision remains the same: provide outstanding style, personalized attention, and great service.
